Tekla just posted the 2009 Global BIM Awards Booklet on their site. The projects featured in the booklet were winners of the Tekla model competitions which were held among the global area offices and resellers last year.

The booklet not only highlights the structures that Tekla Structures was used in but more importantly, they are quite remarkable construction projects in themselves and showcases some of the fantastic work done using the software.
The online booklet can be viewed at:

My personal favorite is the Martinsons Expo 2010 Swedish Pavilion Entrance. This structure was made from glue-laminated wood and I think the wood industry in Canada stand to benefit from a powerful 3D modeling and detailing software such as TS.
With some of the fantastic projects going on locally, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that a Canadian project would win this year.
Can somebody say ‘Edmonton Art Gallery’?
